Hot tub running costs
Jacuzzi UK commissioned independent research undertaken by RSK Group, one of Europe’s fastest growing environmental consultancies.
They found that Jacuzzi Hot Tubs have superb levels of insulation and are amongst the most energy efficient in the industry. Weekly running costs start at just:
- £3.71 per week for the J200 series
- £4.87 per week for the J300 series
- £5.17 per week for the J400 series
Typically energy usage equates to 5-7% of annual usage for a typical 4 bed home.
Energy usage calculations include: initial heating to 38°C 4 times per annum, constant maintenance of the water at 38°C with allowances for heat loss through the shell, cover and via evaporation plus the energy used to power pumps and filters. Costs are calculated at 10p per kWh.
Jacuzzi hot tubs were the first to be listed by the Underwriters Laboratories.
